Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer & Web Designer to build, customize and maintain responsive, high-performing websites and landing pages.

Hands-on WordPress development experience is mandatory for this position. Candidates must be comfortable working with custom themes, plugins, page builders, responsive layouts and front-end technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize and maintain websites using WordPress.
- Create and modify WordPress themes, child themes, templates and reusable components.
- Work with Gutenberg and page builders such as Elementor, Divi or WPBakery.
- Install, configure, customize and troubleshoot WordPress plugins.
- Convert Figma designs and wireframes into responsive WordPress websites.
- Design responsive websites and landing pages for desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Develop product pages, campaign pages, forms and conversion journeys.
- Use HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and PHP to customize WordPress functionality and layouts.
- Integrate third-party APIs, forms, analytics tools, payment services and marketing platforms.
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, usability and conversions.
- Manage WordPress updates, backups, security and staging environments.
- Diagnose and resolve layout, plugin, theme, browser and responsive-design issues.
- Maintain consistency with approved brand, typography, spacing, colour and component standards.
- Create reusable design components and WordPress page sections.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, marketers and other stakeholders.
- Review completed pages against approved designs and correct visual or functional deviations.
- Test websites across relevant browsers, devices and viewport sizes.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, assets and handover materials.
- Maintain organized Figma files, WordPress assets, source files and version documentation.

- Translate website requirements into measurable deliverables, estimates,



dependencies and acceptance criteria.
- Deliver functional WordPress pages that accurately match approved designs.
- Write clean, maintainable and responsive front-end code.
- Maintain work items, technical documentation, testing evidence and release materials in company-designated systems.
- Raise usability, accessibility, security, performance, scope, timeline and technical-feasibility risks promptly.
- Participate in planning sessions, design reviews, sprint demonstrations, release-readiness activities and post-release analysis.
- Validate WordPress functionality and responsive behaviour before handover or deployment.
- Follow development best practices for version control, staging, testing, backups and production releases.
- Use AI-assisted development and design tools responsibly while protecting confidential information, respecting intellectual property and validating all generated output.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
- Proven professional experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, child themes, templates and plugins.
- Hands-on experience with Gutenberg, Elementor or another established WordPress page builder.
- Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and PHP.
- Ability to convert Figma designs into responsive, production-ready WordPress pages.
- Experience troubleshooting WordPress themes, plugins and layout issues.
- Understanding of responsive design across desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization, technical SEO and security fundamentals.




- Experience with website migration, backup and deployment processes.
- Practical experience with Figma or an equivalent UI-design tool.
- Solid understanding of typography, spacing, grids, visual hierarchy and colour systems.
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, developers and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma, degree or certification in Web Development, Web Design, Computer Science, UI/UX Design or a related discipline.
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes or plugins.
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types and WordPress hooks.
- Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with MySQL, hosting control panels, DNS and SSL configuration.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
- Experience designing or developing SaaS, B2B, AI, technology or digital-product websites.
- Familiarity with analytics, tag-management and conversion-tracking tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted design, coding and testing tools while validating generated output.
