ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Senior IMS-QEHS Consultant who can independently execute client consulting assignments involving:

Assessment → Documentation → Implementation → Audit → Training → Improvement The role is suited to a professional with 6–8 years of practical experience in ISO management-system consulting, implementation, auditing or a combination of these.

This is an individual-contributor consulting role, not a managerial or Practice Head position.

The selected candidate will work directly with client teams and will be expected to take ownership of assigned projects with limited supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. IMS CONSULTING & IMPLEMENTATION

- Conduct ISO/IMS gap assessments.
- Understand client processes and identify applicable requirements.
- Support implementation of:
- ISO 9001
- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- Develop practical implementation plans.
- Support process owners in implementing management-system requirements.
- Review existing systems and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support integration of Quality, Environment and OH&S; systems.

2. DOCUMENTATION Independently prepare, review and improve:

- Policies and objectives
- IMS manuals
- Procedures and SOPs
- Work instructions
- Process maps
- Risk & opportunity registers
- Environmental Aspect & Impact Registers
- HIRA / Risk Assessments
- Legal & compliance registers
- Operational controls
- Emergency preparedness documents
- Monitoring formats
- Internal audit documentation
- Management Review documentation

Ability to develop documents independently is essential. 3. AUDITING & ASSESSMENT

- Conduct internal audits.
- Conduct IMS-QEHS gap assessments.
- Prepare audit plans and checklists.
- Interview personnel and evaluate implementation.
- Identify nonconformities, observations and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare professional audit reports.
- Review RCA/CAPA.
- Verify corrective-action effectiveness.




- Support clients for certification and surveillance audits.

4. TRAINING & WORKSHOPS Deliver practical training on areas such as:

- ISO 9001
- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- IMS Awareness
- Internal Auditor
- Risk-Based Thinking
- HIRA / Risk Assessment
- Environmental Aspects & Impacts
- Legal Compliance
- Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
- Emergency Preparedness

The candidate should be comfortable presenting to management and operational teams. 5. CLIENT MANAGEMENT

- Attend client meetings and site visits.
- Interact with process owners and management representatives.
- Explain ISO requirements in practical business language.
- Follow up on implementation actions.
- Prepare meeting minutes and action trackers.
- Communicate project progress and pending actions.
- Resolve routine client queries.
- Escalate technical or project risks when required.

6. PROJECT DELIVERY

- Independently manage assigned consulting activities.
- Plan daily and weekly project activities.
- Complete deliverables within agreed timelines.
- Maintain project trackers and records.
- Coordinate with client teams and Smartedge consultants.
- Manage multiple assignments as required.
- Take ownership of project deliverables and deadlines.

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have actual hands-on exposure to:

- ISO 9001 implementation / auditing
- ISO 14001 implementation / auditing
- ISO 45001 implementation / auditing
- IMS consulting
- Gap assessment
- Management-system documentation
- Internal audits
- Client interaction
- Training / awareness sessions
- Corrective action / RCA

Important: ISO certificates or Lead Auditor certificates alone are NOT considered equivalent to consulting experience.

Candidates must have practical experience in implementing, auditing or improving management systems.

GOOD TO HAVE

Exposure to one or more of the following will be an advantage:

- Industrial EHS
- Environmental compliance
- Factory safety
- Contractor safety
- Incident investigation
- Emergency preparedness
- Food Safety
- Energy Management
- ESG / Sustainability
- GHG / Carbon Accounting
- Customer / Supplier Audits
- Legal Compliance

Candidates do not need expertise in all these areas. Solid practical capability in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is the primary requirement.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Essential

- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering, Science, Management or relevant discipline.

Preferred

- ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training.




- QEHS / Safety-related qualification.
- Environmental / Sustainability qualification.

Multiple certifications are not a substitute for practical consulting experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You may be the right fit if you:

- Have 6–8 years of relevant hands-on experience.
- Have worked with an ISO consulting organization or in a strong QEHS/IMS role.
- Can independently conduct a gap assessment.
- Can develop management-system documentation.
- Can conduct internal audits.
- Can train client personnel.
- Can interact confidently with client process owners.
- Can manage assigned consulting projects.
- Are willing to travel to client locations.
- Can work independently with limited supervision.
- Want to build a long-term career in professional consulting.

NOT THE RIGHT FIT IF

Please do not apply if your experience is primarily:

- ISO training/certification without implementation experience.
- Certification coordination only.
- Documentation/template preparation only.
- Purely administrative/MIS work.
- Purely sales/business development.
- Purely site-level EHS supervision without management-system experience.
- Academic/training experience without consulting exposure.
- A managerial role with little recent hands-on consulting.
- A role requiring primarily office-based work with no client travel.
- Salary expectations substantially above the advertised range.
