We are looking for a detail-oriented Grinderies / Warehouse In charge/ manager to manage incoming materials, storage, batching, material issuance, inventory accuracy and WMS transactions. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely material availability, accurate stock handling, proper traceability and smooth coordination with Planning, Incoming and Inventory teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming Grinderies materials from local and international suppliers by matching material labels, quantities and supplier invoices.
- Coordinate with the Incoming team for barcode generation and labeling of received materials.
- Allocate appropriate storage locations and complete putaway transactions in WMS.
- Review job cards and material requirements and prepare physical batches as per production requirements and fabricator reporting schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of daily batching and material outward plans.
- Issue materials using barcode scanning and WMS transactions.
- Split material labels as per order requirements and pick materials against the relevant picking order number.
- Print and affix balance-material labels for remaining stock after issuance.
- Maintain accurate system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Identify and report discrepancies such as shortage, excess quantity, incorrect colourway, article mismatch or material variance.
- Coordinate with the Incoming and Inventory teams to resolve material discrepancies.
- Conduct perpetual inventory / cycle counting and reconcile physical stock with system inventory.
- Investigate inventory variances and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper FIFO, lot/batch traceability and stock rotation.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
- Ensure 5S, housekeeping and organized storage within the Grinderies area.
- Coordinate with Planning, Incoming and Inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor material movement and contribute to improving warehouse efficiency, accuracy and traceability.
- Follow warehouse SOPs, safety standards and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Warehouse & Stores Operations
- Hands-on experience with WMS / ERP / SAP
- Knowledge of Inventory Management and Stock Reconciliation
- Experience in Material Inward, Putaway, Picking & Issuance
- Knowledge of Barcode Scanning & Label Management
- Understanding of FIFO and Lot/Batch Traceability
- Experience in Cycle Counting / Perpetual Inventory
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive coordination and communication skills
- Knowledge of 5S and warehouse practices
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
Preferred Industry Experience Candidates from Apparel, Garment, Textile, Fashion, Manufacturing or related industries with experience in Grinderies / Trims & Accessories / Stores / Warehouse Operations will be preferred.
