Reports To: Utility Supervisor / Engineering Manager
Key ResponsibilitiesBoiler Operations
- Operate and monitor boilers, steam generation systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain required steam pressure, temperature, and water levels.
- Start up, shut down, and regulate boiler operations as per SOPs.
- Monitor fuel consumption and optimize boiler efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Boiler Act regulations and factory safety standards.
- Maintain valid Boiler Operation Engineer's B Certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Adhere to all safety procedures while handling boilers and related equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment failures, and accidents immediately.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Carry out routine inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, pipelines, and accessories.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for corrective actions.
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper water treatment practices to prevent scaling and corrosion.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain boiler log books, operation records, fuel consumption reports, and maintenance records.
- Record daily operating parameters and report deviations.
- Assist during statutory inspections and audits.
Utility Management
- Monitor utility consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Ensure uninterrupted steam supply to production departments.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Mandatory: Boiler Operator B Certificate issued by the Boiler Inspectorate.
Experience
- 3 to 8 years of experience in boiler operation in manufacturing, textile, process, or power plant industries.
- Experience in coal-fired, biomass-fired, briquette-fired, or thermic fluid boiler operations preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of boiler operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of steam generation systems and utility management.
- Familiarity with boiler safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Valuable record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts
Pay: ₹20,609.78 - ₹34,183.39 per month
