: Motor Mechanic (Textile Industry)

Position: Motor Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and repair of AC/DC motors used in spinning, weaving, sizing, and processing machines.
- Dismantle, inspect, service, rewind (if required), and assemble electric motors.
- Diagnose and rectify motor faults, overheating, vibration, bearing failures, and winding issues.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
- Monitor motor performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Replace bearings, seals, couplings, shafts, and other motor components.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams during breakdowns.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts consumption details.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures.




- Support installation and commissioning of new motors and machinery.

Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Maintenance, Motor Rewinding, or related field.
- Additional certification in motor maintenance or electrical systems is preferred.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial motor maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience in motor rewinding, bearing replacement, and alignment.
- Understanding of electrical circuits, insulation testing, and motor protection systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Knowledge of textile machinery and plant maintenance practices.
