- Review and dispense prescriptions and medication orders accurately.
- Verify medication, dosage, route, frequency, interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
- Maintain accurate records of dispensing, inventory, controlled medicines, and stock movement.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and expiry monitoring of medicines.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, dosage, administration, precautions, and possible side effects.
- Collaborate with doctors and nurses on medication-related issues and therapeutic recommendations.
- Identify and report medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and drug interactions.
- Participate in medication reconciliation and support rational drug-use practices.
- Maintain compliance with hospital SOPs, pharmacy regulations, infection-control standards, and accreditation requirements.




- Assist with audits, inspections, quality initiatives, and pharmacy documentation.
- Train and guide pharmacy technicians, interns, or junior staff where required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.

Qualifications

- B.Pharm / Pharm.D / M.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid pharmacist registration with the applicable State Pharmacy Council.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; freshers may be considered for junior roles.
- Knowledge of prescription interpretation, hospital formulary, medication safety, and pharmacy inventory management.
