- Design, develop, and maintain data transformation workflows using DBT.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into DBT models.
- Implement and enforce data modeling best practices (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, normalization).
- Monitor and optimize DBT runs for performance and reliability.
- Maintain documentation for DBT models, sources, and tests.
- Integrate DBT with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Airflow).
- Implement data quality checks and testing using DBTs built-in testing framework.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Must Have:
- Experience working with DBT in a production workplace.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of ELT/ETL pipelines and modern data stack tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
