About the Role

We're hiring an in-house video editor to handle end-to-end post-production for YouTube long-form content and short-form Reels/Shorts. You'll turn raw footage into polished, retention-optimized videos on a consistent publishing schedule.

This role sits within a SEBI-registered wealth advisory brand, so all content must stay within regulatory guidelines — no return promises, no misleading claims, mandatory disclaimers included and legible. Compliance-mindedness is as significant as editing skill here.

Responsibilities

- Edit long-form YouTube videos (10–30 min): pacing, B-roll, sound design, colour grade, captions/lower-thirds
- Repurpose long-form videos into 5–8 vertical clips per video for Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts
- Add motion graphics, on-screen text, and branded templates (intros/outros, lower-thirds, disclaimers where needed)
- Ensure every edit complies with SEBI/BASL advertising guidelines — correct disclaimer placement, duration, and legibility; no editing choices (cuts, captions, thumbnails) that could misrepresent or overstate claims made in the raw footage
- Use AI tools where they speed up the workflow — AI captioning/transcription, AI-assisted rough cuts, voice cleanup, B-roll or stock generation, upscaling — while knowing where AI output needs human correction (captions especially, given financial terminology)
- Manage a content calendar and turn around edits within agreed SLAs




- Organize raw footage, maintain project files/templates, and keep a consistent visual style across videos
- Flag any content or compliance ambiguity to the marketing/legal team rather than guessing

Requirements

- 2+ years editing for YouTube and short-form platforms (portfolio required — long-form and vertical clips both)
- Proficient in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; working knowledge of After Effects or CapCut for short-form motion
- Understands hook-first storytelling, jump cuts, pacing for retention, and vertical-safe framing
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted editing tools (e.g. auto-captioning/transcription tools, AI voice/audio cleanup, generative B-roll or stock tools, AI upscalers) — comfortable using them as accelerants, not replacements for judgment
- Basic colour correction and audio cleanup (noise reduction, leveling)
- Can work from a brand kit (fonts, colours, lower-third templates) without hand-holding
- Comfortable following compliance guidelines from a legal/marketing team

Nice to Have

- Prior experience editing for finance, wealth management, insurance, or other SEBI/RBI/IRDAI-regulated content
- Thumbnail design sense
- Basic scripting/storyboarding input
