Job Overview

We are looking for a Video Editing Faculty to train, mentor, and guide students in video editing and multimedia production.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of video editing, post-production, motion graphics, and multimedia content creation, along with good communication and mentoring skills.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting practical training sessions, guiding students through editing projects, reviewing their work, supporting portfolio development, and helping students develop industry-ready video editing skills. The role may also involve handling video editing and multimedia requirements for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing Training & Mentoring

Conduct practical and engaging video editing mentoring sessions and teach students fundamental and advanced video editing concepts.

2. Video Editing Software & Practical Training

Provide hands-on training in relevant video editing and multimedia software,

3. Student Mentoring & Academic Support

Conduct assigned mentoring sessions and provide practical guidance to students and support students in understanding academic modules and completing assigned activities.

4. Assignments, Projects & Assessments

Develop practical video editing assignments and projects and assign real-world editing tasks to improve students' practical skills.

5. Portfolio & Career Development





Guide students in developing professional video editing portfolios and provide career guidance related to video editing, post-production, multimedia, and content creation.

6. Student Timeline & Module Management

Regularly monitor student timelines and academic progress and ensure assigned video editing modules are completed within the expected timeline.

7. Video Editing & Multimedia Production In addition to mentoring responsibilities, the faculty member may be required to support the organization's multimedia requirements.

8. Online Mentoring & Live Classes

Conduct online live classes as assigned and ensure timely commencement and completion of online sessions.

9. Student Engagement & Program Coordination

Participate in workshops, seminars, multimedia events, and academic activities and encourage active student participation and engagement.

10. Curriculum Development & Industry Updates

Contribute to the development and improvement of video editing and multimedia training modules and stay updated with current video editing trends, techniques, software, and industry practices.

11. Personal Skill Development

Apply newly acquired skills in mentoring sessions, student projects, and organizational multimedia work and share relevant industry knowledge and best practices with students.

12. Team Coordination & Professional Development





Coordinate effectively with mentors, Team Leads, Department Heads, and other academic teams and active participation in departmental meetings, reviews, and training and other engagement activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Multimedia, Animation, Visual Communication, Film Production, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Strong practical knowledge of video editing and post-production.

Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.

Positive understanding of video editing principles, storytelling, pacing, audio, colour correction, and visual effects.
