We’re looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor + DOP who understands one thing very clearly:

Editing is not just about cutting footage — it’s about keeping people watching.

You should be equally comfortable editing viral Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts and long-form YouTube videos , while also having a basic understanding of camera handling, lighting and shooting.

What You’ll Do

• Edit Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts

• Edit 10–20+ minute YouTube long-form videos

• Identify and clip viral moments from long-form content

- Convert one long video into multiple short-form videos
- Edit talking-head, podcast, educational and promotional content
- Add B-roll, captions, music, SFX and motion graphics
- Improve pacing, hooks and overall audience retention
- Handle DSLR/Mirrorless cameras during shoots
- Assist with framing, lighting and audio setup
- Stay updated with current YouTube & Instagram editing trends

What We’re Looking For

- 2–4 years of skilled video editing experience

• Strong understanding of storytelling and audience retention

- Excellent sense of pacing and visual flow

• Experience editing Reels, Shorts and long-form YouTube videos

• Ability to identify viral hooks and high-retention moments

- Strong B-roll and sound-design sense
- Good understanding of subtitles and motion graphics

• Comfortable handling DSLR/Mirrorless cameras

- Basic knowledge of exposure, ISO, aperture, shutter speed and white balance
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of content




- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take feedback and improve quickly

Software Skills

Must know

- Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve

Good to have

- After Effects
- Photoshop
- Adobe Audition
- AI video & content creation tools

Short-Form Editing Matters

You should understand the importance of:

• First 1–3 second hooks

- Pattern interrupts
- Strategic zooms and punch-ins
- B-roll placement
- Fast but meaningful cuts
- Captions
- Sound effects
- Music selection
- Retention-driven editing

We don’t want random effects.

Every cut should serve a purpose.

Camera Handling

This is not a 100% desk-based editing role.

You should be comfortable picking up a camera and shooting Reels, talking-head videos, interviews and podcasts when required.

Who Should NOT Apply

If your editing process is:

“Footage mila → cut kiya → subtitles lagaye → export kar diya.”

This role may not be for you.

We’re looking for someone who asks:

“Would I personally keep watching this video?”

If not, the edit still needs work.
