Rathinam Global University, Coimbatore invites applications from distinguished and accomplished academic leaders for the position of Vice-Chancellor to provide visionary academic, administrative and strategic leadership to the University. The Vice-Chancellor will serve as the Principal Executive and Academic Officer of the University and will be responsible for leading its academic and administrative affairs in accordance with applicable UGC Regulations, University Statutes, Ordinances and institutional policies.

KEY LEADERSHIP MANDATE

The successful candidate will be expected to lead Rathinam Global University towards academic excellence, research intensity, innovation, industry engagement, globalisation, institutional accreditation and sustainable growth. Key areas of responsibility will include:

Academic Leadership

- Develop and implement the University's academic vision and strategy.
- Strengthen teaching, learning outcomes and academic quality.
- Promote multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary education.
- Develop new-age academic programmes aligned with emerging technologies and industry requirements.
- Strengthen postgraduate and doctoral education.

Research, Innovation Entrepreneurship

- Build a high-impact research ecosystem.
- Increase externally funded research and sponsored projects.
- Promote publications, patents, technology transfer and commercialisation.
- Develop Centres of Excellence and emerging technology centres.
- Encourage interdisciplinary, industry-sponsored and international research collaborations.

Institutional Growth Reputation

- Drive the University's strategic growth and transformation.
- Strengthen national and international academic visibility.
- Improve institutional accreditation and rankings.




- Develop partnerships with reputed national and international institutions.
- Strengthen industry–academia linkages.

Student Faculty Development

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a distinguished academic leader with:

- A strong Engineering / Technology or allied academic background.
- Ph.D. and Professor-level academic credentials.
- Substantial experience in university leadership, academic administration and institutional governance.
- A strong record of research, publications, funded projects, patents and/or innovation.
- Experience in institutional development, strategic planning and transformation.
- Exposure to NAAC, NBA, NIRF and/or international accreditation and ranking frameworks.
- Strong industry–academia relationships and technology/innovation ecosystem experience.
- National and international academic collaborations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary higher-education institutions.

Candidates with experience as Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Director, Dean, Distinguished Professor or equivalent senior academic/institutional leadership positions are encouraged to apply.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

15+ years of academic/research leadership experience is preferred, together with significant senior-level university administration and institutional leadership experience. Strong research credentials, industry interface, accreditation exposure and international collaboration experience will be advantageous.
