Role Description The Vice Chancellor role at Rathinam Global Deemed to be University is a full time, on-site position based in Coimbatore.

The Vice

Chancellor will provide strategic academic and administrative leadership, setting the vision and direction for teaching, research, and innovation across the university. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing academic programs, fostering faculty development, promoting high-quality research output, and ensuring a learner-centered environment. The role involves managing accreditation and regulatory compliance, developing industry partnerships with the IT park and associated companies, and strengthening community and stakeholder engagement.

The Vice

Chancellor will lead budgeting and resource allocation, support new program development, champion diversity and inclusion, and represent the university in national and international forums.

Qualifications as per UGC norms with

- Demonstraated academic leadership experience, including prior service as Dean, Director, Pro Vice Chancellor,



or equivalent senior role in a university or higher education institution.
- Strong background in curriculum design, quality assurance, and academic governance, with the ability to oversee multi-disciplinary programs and schools.
- Proven experience in research promotion, publication oversight, and supporting faculty and student research initiatives, preferably with a record of scholarly contributions.
- Ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships with industry, particularly in information technology, innovation ecosystems, and incubation centers.
- Expertise in institutional planning and administration, including budgeting, resource management, policy formulation, and regulatory compliance with national and international standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative leadership style that encourages transparency and inclusive decision-making.
- Commitment to student success, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and to creating a safe, supportive, and innovative campus environment.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) from a recognized institution, with a strong academic record; experience in multidisciplinary or technology-focused universities is highly desirable.
- Experience working in or with large integrated campuses, education-technology hubs, or IT parks will be an added advantage.

PREFERRED ACADEMIC BACKGROUND ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY The candidate should preferably have an academic background in:

- Engineering
- Technology
- Computer Science / Information Technology
- Emerging Technologies
- Applied Sciences / Technology-related disciplines

Preference may be given to candidates possessing:
- B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent qualification;
- M.E. / M.Tech. or equivalent qualification;
- Ph.D. in Engineering / Technology or an allied discipline;
- Professor-level academic experience in Engineering / Technology;
