1. Position Summary Seeking a Vehicle Technician with hands-on experience in the assembly, integration, and repair of light vehicles to support mounting and integration of the mortar system onto the designated vehicle platform under the defence procurement programmes.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Support assembly, fitment, and integration of the system and associated subsystems onto the vehicle platform.
- Carry out routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of light vehicles used in trials and demonstrations.
- Coordinate with OEM technical teams on vehicle-specific integration requirements and modifications.
- Assist in pre-trial vehicle preparation, ensuring roadworthiness and mechanical readiness for demonstrations and firing trials.
- Maintain technical logs, service records, and inspection checklists for vehicles under the programme.
- Provide on-site technical support during trials,
troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues as they arise.
1. Qualifications and Experience
- ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in assembly, integration, or repair of light vehicles;
experience with Mahindra vehicle platforms strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, drivetrain, and chassis modification for special-purpose fitments.
- Prior experience with defence or special-purpose vehicle integration is an advantage.

- Comfortable working at trial sites and field locations, including non-standard working hours during trial windows.
- Ability to work closely with OEM and production partner technical teams.
