AGVO FOUNDATION
Agvo Foundation is a not-for-profit (Section 8) company set up in 2022 (Corporate Foundation of Sorigin Group), operating as a CSR implementation partner. We design and deliver CSR programs across nine social areas - education, livelihood, equality, healthcare, environment, clean energy, and infrastructure among them - aligned to Schedule VII of the Companies Act and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on rural India.
Guided by our philosophy of Engage – Enlighten – Elevate and our approach of 'Value through Collaboration', we bring an established rural presence across five states, a network of on-ground partners, and a corporate-foundation model that keeps overheads lean so more of every rupee reaches the field.
We are looking for professionals who are passionate, driven, and eager to challenge themselves, with a robust go-getter attitude and a commitment to excellence.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven leader to build and grow the Foundation - its project portfolio, corporate-donor base, communications, and brand value - while owning the end-to-end delivery of CSR programs for our corporate partners. The role spans strategy, fundraising, on-ground implementation, and impact measurement, and carries a program budget of approximately ₹5 Cr over the next three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and grow the Foundation - develop its project portfolio, cultivate corporate donors, drive its communications, and strengthen its brand value as a trusted CSR implementation partner.
- Own the CSR strategy end to end - policy, governance, planning, and implementation across the Foundation's nine social areas.
- Assess: understand each partner company's geography, operations, and the communities connected to its footprint, and co-design a tailored annual CSR plan aligned to their goals and budget.
- Engage: conduct community surveys and site visits, and work with local governance (Sarpanch, Gram Sevaks, Anganwadi workers) to build trust and establish ground truth.
- Implement:
design and launch interventions - from short-term entry initiatives to scalable long-term programs - and drive the full project lifecycle from needs identification and partner selection through execution and evaluation.
- Oversee on-ground site operations - supervise implementation partners and ensure programs are delivered to plan, on time, and to quality standards.
- Cultivate new corporate-donor relationships and co-funding partnerships; develop project proposals and tailored pitches to grow the Foundation's funding base.
- Own budgeting and long-term planning - develop annual budgets and multi-year plans (~₹5 Cr over three years), allocate funds across initiatives, and track spend against outcomes.
- Build and manage relationships with implementation agencies, NGOs, government stakeholders, communities, and beneficiaries to maximize program impact.
- Define and track impact - set KPIs and metrics across inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and long-term impact; run periodic KPI reviews; and use findings to course-correct and demonstrate value to the Board and donors.
- Prepare and present quarterly and annual reports to the Board and donor companies, ensuring transparency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Design and implement employee volunteering initiatives to strengthen participation in social-impact programs.
- Partner with PR and Marketing on communications, social media, and press; ensure effective MIS reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Own the CSR budget and vendor management - approve and oversee invoice processing and ensure timely payments.
- Stay abreast of evolving CSR trends, regulations, and standards; work with audit and compliance teams on statutory CSR reporting and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies
- CSR & Sustainability Expertise: In-depth knowledge of CSR,
sustainability principles, frameworks (such as GRI, SASB, or SDGs), and industry best practices. Proficiency in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics and reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and community organisations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term CSR strategies that align with business objectives and create sustainable value. Analytical skills to assess the impact of CSR initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills to drive cross-functional teams and inspire others towards a shared vision of sustainability. Ability to influence and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Foundation Building: Demonstrated experience building or scaling a corporate foundation, CSR function, or non-profit - including donor cultivation, fundraising, and brand development.
- Fundraising & Donor Relations: Proven ability to cultivate corporate donors, develop compelling proposals and pitches, and grow a funding base - ideally within a Section 8 / CSR implementation-partner model.
- Financial Planning & Budgeting: Ability to build and manage annual budgets and multi-year plans, allocate resources effectively, and monitor spend against measurable outcomes.
- Impact Measurement: Experience defining KPIs and outcome metrics and running monitoring and evaluation (using the Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) model or similar results frameworks) to assess and improve program impact.
Qualification & Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in CSR, social work, sustainability, environmental management, business administration, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as CSR or sustainability reporting, are preferred.
- Ability to take ownership and drive business independently.
A team player with high levels of discipline and professioonalism.
