Role Description The Urban Designer role at NOVARCH CONSULTANTS is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The urban designer will work on master plans, urban regeneration projects, and detailed urban design solutions, integrating architecture, public realm design, and landscape elements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site and context analysis, developing conceptual and detailed design proposals, preparing drawings and visualizations, and coordinating with architectural, engineering, and planning teams. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders, contributing to reports and presentations,



and supporting the preparation of town and regional development plans. The urban designer is expected to apply sustainable design principles and ensure alignment with regulatory and client requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Urban design, including experience with master plans, regional plans, and development frameworks.
- Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and Urban planning, with the ability to integrate built form, public spaces, and infrastructure in cohesive design solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Landscape Architecture and urban open space design, focusing on human-centered, resilient, and environmentally responsive environments.
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite) and strong graphic communication skills.
- Strong analytical, research, and report-writing abilities, with attention to detail and clarity in documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects in parallel.
- Knowledge of local planning regulations, zoning norms, and sustainable design standards; prior experience in civic or cultural projects is an advantage.
