We are looking for a skilled and responsible Turner to join our Production/Manufacturing team at Prama Instruments Pvt. Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for operating conventional lathe machines, machining components as per drawings and specifications, and ensuring the required quality and dimensional accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, and other machining operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and machining specifications.
- Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and adjust cutting parameters.
- Measure finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Inspect components during and after machining to ensure quality standards.
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned jobs within the required time.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other production team members when required.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of conventional lathe machine operations.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper and Micrometer.
- Positive understanding of machining tolerances and dimensions.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
Educational Qualification
- ITI – Turner / Fitter or equivalent technical qualification.
- Relevant hands-on experience will be preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing/machining environment is preferred.
- Fresh ITI candidates with good practical knowledge may also be considered.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
