About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Travel Consultant – Operations to manage end-to-end travel arrangements for fixed departures and FIT clients across domestic and international destinations.
The candidate should have solid destination knowledge, excellent supplier coordination skills and the ability to manage bookings, documentation, logistics and client requirements with high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end travel operations including flights, hotels, transportation, visas, insurance and other travel services.
Coordinate with international and domestic suppliers, hotels, DMCs and vendors for bookings and confirmations.
Negotiate with suppliers and secure the best possible rates and terms.
Coordinate with Sales to understand client requirements and ensure seamless execution.
Assist in preparing and reviewing customized itineraries and travel arrangements.
Manage booking changes, cancellations, amendments and client requests.
Ensure all travel documentation, confirmations and operational details are accurate and updated.
Maintain accurate records and updates in the CRM and internal systems.
Coordinate with Finance for payments, supplier settlements and reconciliations.
Provide pre-departure and after-sales operational support to clients.
Lead or support on-ground operations for fixed departures, group tours and international trips when required.
Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to ensure a smooth client experience.
Destination & Travel Knowledge – Essential
Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, particularly:
Africa
South America
Europe
Central Asia
Southeast Asia and other long-haul destinations
India
Good understanding of hotels, transportation, routing, visa requirements, seasonality and destination logistics is essential.
Requirements & Skills
5–9 years of experience in travel operations, FIT operations, DMC, product or travel consulting.
Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel operations.
Good knowledge of international visas and travel documentation.
Strong supplier/vendor negotiation and coordination skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good command of English, both written and verbal.
Experience handling international group departures will be an advantage.
First-hand international travel experience will be an advantage.
Driving experience will be an added advantage, particularly for self-drive and road-trip operations.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, Business or a relevant field.
