Role & responsibilities

- Prepare detailed engineering drawings including Plan & Profile drawings, permitting drawings, assembly drawings, structure framing drawings, loading drawings, technical reports, and design documentation to support transmission line engineering projects.
- Develop both preliminary sketches and detailed design drawings using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software while maintaining accuracy and project quality standards.
- Interpret engineering markups and client comments and incorporate the required revisions into design deliverables in accordance with project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and effectively translate engineering concepts into drafting solutions.
- Review, revise, and redraft engineering drawings in coordination with the engineering team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while seeking engineering guidance when required for complex technical challenges and project deliverables.
- Ensure all final drawings and design packages comply with applicable standards, regulations, client specifications, and quality requirements.
- Identify potential drafting issues, design conflicts, or constructability concerns and proactively communicate them to the engineering team for resolution.




- Participate in technical discussions, project reviews, and client meetings to support project execution and resolve design-related queries.
- Take complete ownership of assigned work packages and ensure timely delivery of high-quality drafting and design outputs.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of overhead transmission line construction methods and transmission line design practices will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with CADD and design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Robust understanding of engineering drafting principles, drawing interpretation, and preparation of technical design documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving, teamwork, and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in transmission and distribution projects, utility projects, or overhead transmission line drafting assignments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite for engineering drafting and project documentation activities.
