Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Tool Maker to support the Tool Room in manufacturing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other precision tooling. The candidate should be capable of interpreting engineering drawings and working with conventional as well as CNC/tool-room machines to achieve the required dimensional accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Manufacture and assemble dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and precision tooling as per drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, tool drawings, and GD&T; requirements.
- Perform fitting, grinding, drilling, milling, turning, and other tool-making operations.
- Operate machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, EDM/Wire EDM, and CNC machines as applicable.
- Carry out tool trials, corrections, modifications, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and rectify tooling defects such as dimensional variation, mismatch, burrs, wear, and alignment issues.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling.




- Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Ensure tooling dimensions and tolerances are maintained as per drawing requirements.
- Maintain proper records of tool manufacturing, repair, modification, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, and Engineering teams for tooling-related issues.
- Maintain 5S, safety, housekeeping, and discipline within the Tool Room.
- Follow company quality procedures and ensure tools are delivered within the required timeline.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Tool Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: Typically 3–7 years in tool making/tool room activities.
- Good knowledge of precision fitting and tool-room machining processes.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and basic GD&T.;
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Experience with dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, or similar tooling will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
