Minimum Qualifications (As per CBSE Norms):

● Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field, such as BCA, MCA, B.Tech.(Computer Science/IT) or equivalent qualification.

● B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred/mandatory as per the applicable CBSE/NCTE norms.

● Proficiency in teaching Computer Science/Information Technology to students at the middle and secondary levels (Classes VI–X).

● Good command over English and strong classroom management skills.

● Sound knowledge of computer fundamentals, programming concepts, MS Office/productivity tools, internet safety, and age-appropriate digital technologies.

● Prior teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.

● Pass in CTET Paper II, where applicable,



conducted by CBSE in accordance with NCTE guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

● Deliver Computer Science/Information Technology lessons effectively as per the latest CBSE curriculum for Classes VI–X.

● Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, practical activities, projects, and hands-on learning experiences to engage students.

● Conduct and supervise computer laboratory sessions and ensure the effective and protected use of computer systems and other digital resources.

● Evaluate students’ progress through assignments, practical work, projects, and assessments, and provide constructive feedback.

● Introduce students to appropriate programming, computational thinking, digital literacy, and emerging technologies in accordance with their grade level.

● Maintain a positive, inclusive, disciplined, and technology-enabled classroom environment.

● Participate in school functions, workshops, parent-teacher meetings, technology-related activities, and other professional development programmes.

● Collaborate with other teachers and the school management to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
