Role Overview The AI Quality Engineer will be responsible for defining and executing quality engineering strategies across modern software delivery squads The role requires deep expertise in test strategy test planning automation framework design and Handson implementation using Playwright and TypeScript The engineer will also leverage Claude AI and other GenAI tools to accelerate test design automation development defect analysis and quality assurance processes
Key Responsibilities
Own endtoend test strategy test planning estimation execution and release readiness activities
Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript
Define quality gates automation coverage metrics and testing best practices across Agile squads
Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI API integration regression and endtoend testing
Collaborate with Product Owners Business Analysts Architects and Developers to establish acceptance criteria and testing approaches early in the SDLC
Drive shiftleft testing practices and continuous quality engineering
Utilize Claude AI for
Test case generation
Scenario and edgecase identification
Defect analysis
Automation script acceleration
Test data generation
QA documentation and reporting
Ensure responsible use of AIgenerated outputs through validation traceability security and compliance controls
Analyze quality trends identify root causes and recommend improvements to engineering practices and automation effectiveness
Support nonfunctional testing including performance accessibility reliability and security validation
Mandatory Skills
6 years of Quality Engineering Test Automation experience
Strong experience in Test Strategy Test Planning Test Governance and Release Management
Expertise in Playwright with TypeScript
Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch
API testing using Postman REST APIs JSON and contract validation
Robust understanding of STLC defect lifecycle regression management and test data management
Experience working in AgileScrum delivery environments
Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
AI Claude Skills Mandatory
Handson experience using Claude AI for software testing and quality engineering activities
Ability to create effective prompts for generating test scenarios acceptance criteria test data and automation scripts
Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity across QA workflows
Understanding of AI limitations validation techniques data privacy and responsible AI practices
Exposure to other AI tools such as GitHub Copilot ChatGPT Gemini or Microsoft Copilot is desirable
Preferred Qualifications
Insurance or Financial Services domain experience
Exposure to performance security and accessibility testing
Experience leading QA initiatives across multiple Scrum teams
Knowledge of observability and quality metrics
