Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Team Lead to lead a team of 6–10 engineers working across web, mobile, and QA.

The role involves hands-on software development, technical architecture, code reviews, people management, cloud infrastructure, production support, and AI-assisted development.

You will work closely with product and business stakeholders based in the UAE and take ownership of technical delivery, engineering standards, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 engineers across web, mobile, and QA.
- Write, review, and merge production code using Vue.js and Node.js.
- Own application architecture, code quality, engineering standards, and technical-debt reduction.
- Design and develop scalable REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues involving applications, MongoDB, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Make MongoDB schema, indexing, aggregation, and query-performance decisions.
- Plan and manage releases, deployments, rollbacks, and post-release monitoring.
- Conduct 1:1 meetings, performance discussions, feedback, and career-development conversations.
- Participate in technical hiring, interviews, and onboarding.
- Drive sprint planning, estimation, standups, and retrospectives.
- Convert business requirements into technical tasks with clear acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with UAE-based product and business stakeholders.
- Maintain strong engineering practices around Git, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and incident management.
- Promote effective use of AI coding tools and spec-driven development.




- Review and validate AI-generated code and technical solutions.
- Create and maintain repository-level AI rules, context files, and custom commands.
- Work with LLM APIs, embeddings, semantic search, and AI-powered application features.

Mandatory Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of 5+ engineers.
- Strong and current hands-on experience with Vue.js.
- Strong production experience with Node.js and Express.js.
- Deep hands-on MongoDB experience.
- Production AWS experience, particularly Kubernetes/EKS.




- Working knowledge of Flutter.
- Strong Git and CI/CD experience.
- Daily professional use of AI coding tools.
- Experience with spec-driven development.
- Experience creating and maintaining AI repository rules/context files.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code.
- Proven people-management and mentoring experience.
- Experience with technical hiring and interviewing.
- Experience in B2B e-commerce, wholesale/distribution, or marketplace platforms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Maximum notice period of 30 days.
