Summary

- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise engineering teams.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and high-volume processing.

- Experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications with stringent performance, availability, data-volume, and SLA requirements.

- Ability to establish engineering standards for coding, code reviews, repositories, branching, unit testing, automation, security, and CI/CD.

- Ability to make low-level design decisions, evaluate open-source frameworks, reverse-engineer existing code, and remain hands-on with development and troubleshooting.

- Strong understanding of application security, observability, performance testing, capacity planning, and SLA/KPI measurement.

- Strong communication and leadership skills. Must partner effectively with Product Owners, BriteBill Architects, Data Engineers, QA/SDET teams, DevOps, and client architects.

- Hands-on experience with GitLab (or GitHub Actions) CI/CD and Terraform for build, deployment and infrastructure automation.

- Experience using Helm to package, configure and deploy applications on Kubernetes.

- Ability to mentor engineers, challenge estimates constructively, identify technical risks and dependencies, and make decisions in an ambiguous environment.

- Amdocs billing,



BriteBill, telecom billing, or bill-presentment experience is preferred (nice to have).

- Experience with Karpenter for Kubernetes node provisioning and cluster scaling is preferred (nice to have).

Required Skills and Responsibilities

- Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven processing, and high-volume batch applications.

- Experience with enterprise bill-presentment and/or other document-generation platform.

- Robust understanding of AFP, PDF, JSON, XML, document composition, template-driven rendering, and Apache FOP or similar frameworks.

- Strong AWS experience, including EKS, Kubernetes, S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Kafka, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch.

- Ability to establish the core coding framework, service patterns, error-handling approach, unit-test framework, code-review standards, and CI/CD practices.

- Experience designing data structures and application code for very large data volumes and stringent bill-cycle SLAs.

- Ability to lead performance profiling, load testing, bottleneck analysis, retry and reprocessing design, and output-parity validation.

- Strong troubleshooting and reverse-engineering skills, with the ability to translate legacy BriteBill behavior into maintainable target-state services.
