Role Description The Team Leader Collections role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. This role involves leading and supervising a team of collection representatives, setting daily and weekly targets, and monitoring performance to ensure recovery goals are achieved.

The Team

Leader will oversee call quality, guide team members on negotiation and repayment strategies, and support the resolution of complex collection cases.

Responsibilities include analyzing portfolio performance, preparing reports for management,



and coordinating with internal stakeholders to refine collection processes. The role also includes training, coaching, and mentoring team members to maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical collection practices.

Qualifications

- Experience in collections, recovery, or credit operations, with the ability to lead a team and manage performance.
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution to effectively interact with borrowers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including use of spreadsheets, dashboards, or collection management tools.
- Ability to develop processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in collection strategies.
- Previous experience in financial services, lending, or fintech is preferred; exposure to AI- or technology-enabled operations is an advantage.
- Demonstrated skills in coaching, mentoring, and people management, with a focus on ethical, compliant practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven setting and adaptability to evolving business needs.
