About the Role

: Team Lead - Anesthesia Medical Coding (Chennai)

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Anesthesia Medical Coding Team Lead to lead and manage a team of medical coders responsible for accurate coding of anesthesia records. The candidate should possess strong coding expertise, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of US healthcare reimbursement and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

- Manage and lead a team of Anesthesia Medical Coders.
- Review and assign anesthesia CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes accurately.
- Monitor coding quality, productivity, and turnaround time (TAT).
- Conduct audits and provide feedback to team members.
- Ensure compliance with client guidelines, CPT, ICD-10, and payer-specific requirements.
- Support training, mentoring, and performance management activities.
- Analyze coding trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.




- Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to achieve business goals.
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly team performance reports.

Qualifications

- Any Graduate.
- Certified Medical Coder (CPC/CCS/COC preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience with exposure to Anesthesia coding.
- Prior Team Lead or SME experience preferred.

Required Skills

- Solid expertise in Anesthesia Coding.
- Excellent knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
- Experience in quality audits and productivity management.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in US Healthcare RCM environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple client accounts and team deliverables.
