Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Tableau SME with strong hands-on expertise in Tableau and working knowledge of Power BI to interpret Tableau behavior and support AI and migration teams. The role will focus on analyzing complex Tableau functionality, validating AI-generated interpretations, creating reusable exception patterns, supporting complex remediation, and advising teams on semantic differences between Tableau and Power BI.

Must-Have Skills :

- 8 - 12 years of hands-on experience in Tableau development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Tableau calculations, including Level of Detail (LOD) expressions and table calculations.
- Experience working with Tableau parameters and actions.
- Strong experience with Tableau extracts and data sources.
- Experience working with Tableau metadata.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex Tableau behavior.
- Experience validating AI-generated interpretations of Tableau functionality.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, with Tableau as the primary BI platform.
- Strong understanding of semantic differences between Tableau and Power BI.

Valuable-to-Have Skills :

- Experience working on Tableau-to-Power BI migration projects.
- Experience supporting AI-assisted BI migration initiatives.
- Experience creating reusable exception patterns for complex Tableau features.
- Experience supporting complex Tableau remediation activities.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale Tableau environments.




- Experience providing technical guidance to BI development and migration teams.
- Knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze existing Tableau solutions and interpret Tableau behavior for AI and migration teams.
- Analyze complex Tableau functionality including LOD expressions, table calculations, parameters, and actions.
- Validate AI-generated interpretations of Tableau functionality and identify gaps or inaccuracies.
- Analyze Tableau calculations, extracts, and metadata to support accurate migration and remediation.
- Create reusable exception patterns for Tableau features that require specialized migration or remediation approaches.
- Support complex remediation activities for Tableau functionality that cannot be directly replicated in Power BI.
- Advise AI, development, and migration teams on semantic differences between Tableau and Power BI.
- Identify functional and behavioral differences between Tableau reports and their migrated Power BI equivalents.
- Provide technical guidance on handling unsupported or differently behaving Tableau features during migration.
- Collaborate with AI, migration, development, and QA teams to resolve complex Tableau-related issues.
- Document reusable patterns and approaches for recurring Tableau migration and remediation scenarios.
- Review and validate remediation outcomes to ensure the migrated solutions accurately reflect the intended Tableau behavior.

Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant Tableau certifications are preferred.
