Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of structural steel detailers and modelers.

- Plan, assign, monitor, and review detailing work across multiple projects.

- Perform hands-on steel modeling and detailing when required.

- Review 3D models, GA drawings, erection drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, part drawings, BOMs, and related deliverables.

- Perform detailed

QA/QC checks before project submissions

.

- Ensure drawings and models comply with project specifications, client standards, fabrication requirements, and applicable industry standards.

- Identify modeling, detailing, coordination, and constructability issues before release.

- Review RFIs, design information, connection details, and project documentation.

- Coordinate with engineers, clients, fabricators, project managers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.

- Train, mentor, and develop junior detailers and modelers.

- Establish and maintain detailing standards, checking procedures, templates, and best practices.

- Monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, priorities, and deadlines.

- Ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.

- Track project progress and proactively identify potential delays or quality concerns.

- Conduct final reviews and take responsibility for the completeness and quality of project deliverables.

- Support continuous improvement in detailing productivity, quality, and workflow.

- Assist management in evaluating team performance and technical capability.

Required Experience & Skills

- Strong professional experience in structural steel detailing and 3D modeling

.

- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection practices.

- Experience preparing and reviewing:

- 3D steel models

- General Arrangement drawings

- Shop/fabrication drawings

- Erection drawings





- Assembly and single-part drawings

- Material/Bolt lists and BOMs

- Strong understanding of structural drawings, architectural drawings, design documents, and project specifications.

- Ability to identify clashes, missing information, detailing errors, and fabrication issues.

- Strong QA/QC and drawing-checking capability.

- Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising steel detailing teams.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to communicate professionally with clients, engineers, fabricators, and project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Experience working on structural steel projects for international clients.

- Knowledge of relevant steel detailing and fabrication standards such as AISC, OSHA, AWS, or applicable project standards.

- Experience working with commercial, industrial, warehouse, infrastructure, or miscellaneous steel projects.

- Experience managing projects from initial model setup through final fabrication/erection drawing delivery.
