Role Description The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for designated categories, evaluating and selecting suppliers, and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. Day-to-day activities include conducting market research, analyzing cost structures and supply risks, preparing and leading supplier negotiations, and supporting contract development and implementation.

The specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, logistics,



and finance to align sourcing decisions with technical requirements and business objectives. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, driving supplier development initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement in SEG Automotive’s global supply base.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Development skills to assess capabilities, improve performance, and build long-term partnerships.
- Candidates should possess solid Supply Management and Analytical Skills to manage categories, analyze cost and risk, and optimize sourcing decisions.
- Candidates should possess effective Contract Negotiation skills to secure favorable commercial terms, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within automotive or manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools; familiarity with ERP or sourcing platforms is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
