Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Store Keeper to manage daily material handling, inventory tracking, and warehouse operations at our construction site. You will be responsible for receiving construction materials, maintaining inward/outward registers, preventing material pilferage/wastage, and keeping site tools and machinery organized and secure.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Material Receipt & Inward Verification: Inspect incoming raw materials (steel, cement, aggregates, fixtures) against Delivery Challans (DC) and invoices; acknowledge receipts with physical stock counts.
- Inventory Control & Register Maintenance: Maintain accurate inward and outward stock registers (both manual logbooks and digital/software entries); perform physical stock reconciliations.
- Issue & Gate Pass Management: Issue materials to site engineers and subcontractors against approved Material Requisition Notes (MRN); generate gate passes for outward items or tools sent for repair.
- Safe Stacking & Maintenance:
Ensure valuable materials, power tools, and equipment are stored under lock and key; organize material stacking to maintain high standards of site housekeeping.
Value-Added Responsibilities (FIFO & LIFO)
- Reorder Level Tracking: Monitor minimum stock levels on critical construction materials to raise advance requisitions and prevent site work stoppages.
- Scrap & Wastage Audit: Track and log scrap steel, shuttering waste, and damaged items to facilitate timely disposal or recycling actions.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Core Competencies: Inventory Record-Keeping, Goods Receipt Verification, Basic Computer Knowledge (Excel/ERP/CMS), Tool Room Management, Physical Stock Audit.
- Education: Higher Secondary (10+2) or any Graduate Degree (UG) – Non-technical candidates welcome.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of practical experience managing site stores in construction or industrial project sites.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
