Job Title: State Head – DDU-GKY (Jharkhand)

Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand

Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced professional to lead and manage DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) operations across Jharkhand.

The State Head will be responsible for end-to-end project implementation, stakeholder coordination, team management, compliance, monitoring, and achievement of project targets across the state. The candidate will work closely with Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), government authorities, training centers, employers, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the program.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end implementation of DDU-GKY projects across Jharkhand.
- Coordinate with JSLPS, State Government departments, and other government authorities for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with DDU-GKY guidelines, SOPs, quality standards, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and manage training centers and project operations across different districts of Jharkhand.
- Develop and execute effective candidate mobilization strategies, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
- Monitor targets related to mobilization, enrollment, training, certification, placement, and retention.
- Ensure timely achievement of project milestones and state-level targets.
- Prepare and review MIS reports, progress reports, utilization reports, and audit documentation.
- Handle government inspections, audits, assessments, and third-party evaluations.
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions to improve project performance.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers for placement and recruitment tie-ups.
- Coordinate with placement teams to ensure quality placements and candidate retention.
- Recruit, manage, guide, and motivate state-level teams, district teams, mobilization teams, and training-center staff.
- Conduct regular review meetings and performance assessments with project teams.
- Ensure quality training delivery, candidate attendance, certification, and overall candidate satisfaction.
- Monitor center-wise and district-wise performance and take timely corrective measures.
- Maintain effective communication with internal management and external stakeholders.
- Travel extensively across Jharkhand for center visits, government meetings, inspections, reviews, and project monitoring.

Eligibility Criteria

- Graduate / Postgraduate in any relevant discipline.
- MBA / PGDM preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in skill development, livelihood, vocational training, or government-funded projects.
- Prior experience in DDU-GKY projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of government schemes, project implementation, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in team handling, project management, and target-based operations.
- Valuable communication, coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Jharkhand.
- Knowledge of Hindi and/or regional Jharkhand languages will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Prior experience in DDU-GKY / Skill India / NSDC / PMKVY / government skill development projects.
- Experience working with JSLPS or other state-level government livelihood/skill development programs will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Jharkhand's local ecosystem, rural communities, and employment landscape.
- Strong network and experience in employer/industry engagement will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Hindi and local/regional languages of Jharkhand is desirable.
- Strong leadership ability with a proven track record of achieving project targets.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple stakeholders, and meet strict deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively across districts of Jharkhand.
