Role Description The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care in a homecare setting, ensuring safe and high-quality clinical services in line with Apollo protocols.
Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, managing medical equipment, documenting care accurately, and coordinating with physicians and other care team members on individualized care plans.
The Staff
Nurse will educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and home-based recovery, while monitoring progress and promptly reporting changes in patient status. The role also involves supporting elderly and post-operative patients,
assisting with activities of daily living when needed, and promoting infection control and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring travel to patient homes within the service area.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong clinical nursing skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Candidates should possess skills in care planning and coordination, including working with multidisciplinary teams and communicating effectively with physicians and therapists.
- Candidates should possess skills in patient and family education, including explaining procedures, treatment plans, and homecare best practices in explicit, respectful language.
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation and record-keeping, including accurate charting, adherence to clinical protocols, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Candidates should possess interpersonal and communication skills, including empathy, cultural sensitivity, active listening, and the ability to build trust with patients and families.
- Recognized nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or equivalent) and valid registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Prior experience in hospital, community health, or homecare nursing is preferred; experience with elderly or post-surgical patients is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and adapt to varied home environments while following safety and infection control standards.
