Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SRE / Database Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, PostgreSQL database management, Java/Microservices, and cloud technologies.

The role will involve supporting highly available applications and databases, ensuring system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and support production systems with a focus on reliability, availability, and performance.
- Perform PostgreSQL database administration and management, including monitoring, performance tuning, backups, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Work with Java-based applications and microservices to identify and resolve production issues.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health and participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support deployment, maintenance, and operational activities across cloud environments.




- Collaborate with development, database, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability.
- Implement automation and operational best practices to reduce manual effort and improve system stability.
- Participate in production support and on-call activities as required.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Production Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience in Database Administration (DBA) or database operations.
- Strong understanding of Java applications and Microservices architecture.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and RCA.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation.
- Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code or cloud automation tools.

Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates who have a combination of SRE/production support + PostgreSQL/DBA + Java/Microservices + Cloud experience and are comfortable working in a production environment.
