Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Database Developer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in database development, SQL programming, performance tuning, and database optimization. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, with proven experience in developing complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, scripts, and reports. The role will involve working closely with application development teams to design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize databases supporting businesscritical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database scripts.
- Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues from a performance and scalability perspective.
- Identify database performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Develop complex reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Design database structures, tables, relationships, indexes, views, and other database objects based on application requirements.
- Perform database testing, debugging, issue resolution, and bug fixes.




- Review existing database structures and recommend improvements for performance, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Support application development teams with database design and integration requirements.
- Prepare technical design specifications and functional documentation for database projects.
- Ensure database development follows established coding standards, development processes, and best practices.
- Participate in application integration activities involving relational databases.
- Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and deliver assigned work within defined timelines.
- Provide general technical support for database design, development, execution, and maintenance.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Excellent knowledge of T-SQL programming.
- Strong experience in developing:

o Stored Procedures o Functions o Triggers o Views o Complex SQL Queries o Database Scripts
- Strong understanding of relational database design and database development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.




- Experience with database troubleshooting, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Good knowledge of SSRS / SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Understanding of database indexing, execution plans, and query performance optimization.
- Experience working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar sourcecontrol/version-control tools is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud-based databases such as AWS/Azure will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of software development and application integration concepts.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design concepts is preferred.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Database Development / SQL Development.
- Strong hands-on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
