We're Hiring: Design & Development Engineer/ Sr. Design & development Engineer – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Location: Ramtekdi / Hadapsar Industrial Estate, Pune

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer's to join our Design & Development team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing sheet metal components, developing new products, preparing manufacturing drawings, coordinating with production, and supporting end-to-end product development activities. Strong Solid-Work experiance is a must.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop sheet metal components using CAD software ( SolidWorks)
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models
- Prepare fabrication drawings, flat patterns, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Procurement teams for seamless product development
- Apply knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, and assembly
- Review customer drawings and convert them into manufacturing-ready designs
- Support prototype development and implement design improvements




- Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and quality standards
- Maintain engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and records
- Participate in cost reduction and continuous process improvement initiatives

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of sheet metal design principles
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Good knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings
- Understanding of fabrication processes and manufacturing techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

- Experience in enclosure, cabinet, or sheet metal fabrication design
- Knowledge of ERP systems and BOM management
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards
- Knowledge of PPAP (Product Part Approval Process)

Eligibility

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience in sheet metal design & development
