Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Data Modelling Architect with strong expertise in Dimensional Data Modeling to design, maintain, and support data models and Oracle-based data solutions. The role involves working closely with technical and business teams to establish data modelling standards, support data governance, and ensure data quality and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and dimensional data models.
- Develop and apply 3NF data models across IT projects and business data governance processes.
- Define and maintain data modelling standards and related artefacts.
- Develop data flows, CRUD matrices, and process models to represent master data and integrations.
- Manage and support Oracle databases, including schema design, storage, performance monitoring, and maintenance.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data gaps, and business insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity through validation and quality checks.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts,
Solution Architects, Information Architects, and business data governance teams.
- Build strong knowledge of business data and translate it into effective data models and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process and data improvement.
- Communicate technical data concepts effectively to business stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills
- 8+ years of relevant experience in data modelling / data architecture.
- Solid experience in Dimensional Data Modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with database query optimization.
- Strong experience in conceptual and logical data modelling and 3NF.
- Experience with at least one data modelling tool such as ERStudio or Erwin.
- Understanding of scalable application and data design principles.
- Strong exposure to the IT project lifecycle.
- Life Science domain experience.
- Good understanding of data governance and data quality.
- Ability to communicate technical information in business language.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
