- Role Description The SQL Database Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining SQL databases, including installation, configuration, performance monitoring, optimization, and security. The administrator will design and implement database structures, set up and manage replication, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery. Daily tasks include troubleshooting database issues, analyzing logs, applying patches, and coordinating with development and operations teams to support application releases and data-related requests. The role also involves implementing best practices, documenting procedures, and contributing to capacity planning and scalability initiatives.

We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented #SQL Server Database Administrator with strong expertise in SQL Server and secondary exposure to Oracle / Postgres.



The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and optimizing business-critical databases across on-premise and cloud environments. ? Location: Bangalore, Kochi (Work From Office)

? Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end SQL Server administration: installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and security.

Handle HA/DR configurations — clustering, replication, AlwaysOn, and backup/restore operations.

Drive performance tuning and optimization using Profiler, Execution Plans, Indexing, and DMVs.

Support database monitoring and alerting via Quest Spotlight, OEM, and custom dashboards.

Perform health checks, audits, and baseline analysis for SQL Server environments.

Assist with Oracle / Postgres administration (DataGuard, RMAN, schema refresh, etc.) when required.

Partner with global teams for troubleshooting, change management, and compliance with audit standards.

? Technical Skills Required

5–7 years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience (performance tuning, HA/DR, scripting).

Solid in T-SQL, PowerShell automation, and SQL query optimization.

Familiarity with cloud-hosted databases (AWS/Azure) and monitoring tools (Quest Spotlight, OEM).

Understanding of replication, backup strategies, and DR frameworks.

Willingness to work in rotational shifts (24x5) and take ownership of tasks.
