Job Description – Customer Quality Engineer (2–3 Years Experience)

Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
Experience: 2–3 years in Quality, Customer Support, or Automotive Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary interface between the customer and internal teams for all quality-related concerns.
Handle customer complaints, warranty issues, and field failures; drive timely root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct in office visits at customer locations for issue validation, data collection, and feedback.
Prepare and submit 8D reports, PPAP documents, and quality performance summaries to customers.
Monitor customer PPM, line rejections, scorecards, and quality performance metrics; drive improvement plans.
Coordinate with production, process engineering, and suppliers to ensure quick resolution of issues.
Review and validate product quality during pre-dispatch inspection (PDI) and ensure adherence to customer specifications.
Support recent product development (NPD) and changes by participating in APQP activities.




Maintain documentation related to audits, quality systems, and customer-specific requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and defect prevention measures.

Skills & Competencies Required:

Strong understanding of automotive quality tools: 8D, RCA, 5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, brazing, machining, assembly, etc.).
Positive communication skills for customer interaction and cross-functional coordination.
Strong analytical ability and problem-solving mindset.
Basic understanding of drawings, GD&T;, and tolerance analysis.
Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
