- Ensure test coverage reflects real-world insurance workflows (e.g., policy issuance, rating, endorsements, claims handling, regulatory reporting).
2 - Test Execution & Client Simulation
- Execute end-to-end UAT cycles in staging/pre-production environments, mimicking client behaviour and edge-case scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, usability, data integrity, and negative testing.
- Validate integrations with third-party systems commonly used in insurance (e.g., credit checks, payment gateways, document management).
3 - Defect Management & Collaboration
- Log, prioritise, and track defects using Git Hub (or equivalent).
- Work collaboratively with developers, product teams, and the Test Manager to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback on usability and business fit.
4 - Reporting & Sign-off
- Support the test manager in preparing and present UAT progress reports, test coverage metrics, and go-live readiness dashboards to the Test Manager and senior stakeholders.
- Feed into the formal UAT sign-off or explicit risk-based recommendations before each release.
5 - Process Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of UAT processes, templates, and best practices.
- Help build and maintain a reusable UAT regression pack for insurance-specific workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive UAT tasks where appropriate.
6 - Stakeholder Engagement
- Occasionally facilitate UAT sessions with internal “client proxies” or real client representatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor on quality and user experience within cross-functional squads.
