About the Role

Kauvery Hospital is looking for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 3 years of hands-on software testing experience to join our technology team in Chennai. The role will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through structured manual and/or automated testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual and/or automated test cases and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and UI/UX Testing.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Managers to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Contribute to and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks, where applicable.
- Perform basic database validation using SQL queries.
- Ensure timely completion of testing cycles within release timelines.
- Prepare test summary reports and communicate quality risks to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.




- 3 years of relevant experience in Software Testing – Manual and/or Automation.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on knowledge of test case design techniques, including Boundary Value Analysis and Equivalence Partitioning.
- Working knowledge of bug/defect tracking tools.
- Basic SQL skills for database and data validation.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools.
