About the Team and the Role

As a Software Engineer at Origin Medical Research Lab, you will work closely with Product, R&D; (AI), Data Engineering, and Clinical teams to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and monitor front-end and back-end infrastructure for several internal tools, software applications, and our flagship product. You will also get an opportunity to work with leading healthcare providers, medical institutions, regulatory experts, and AI scientists across various stages of software and product development life cycles.

What will you do?

- Engineering: Understand software requirements from clinical collaborators and internal teams (Product, R&D;, Data Engineering, Clinical, Software) to design and engineer various internal tools.
- Software Development: Develop, deploy, and maintain a high-quality codebase (behavior-driven design and domain-driven design) with proper testing and re-usability.
- Data Management: Implement and maintain databases, and prepare entity-relationship diagrams.

Who are we looking for?





- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or recent graduates.
- Solid programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript/Typescript.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript for front-end development. Experience in any of the modern JavaScript frontend frameworks, such as Nuxt3, Vue, React, Svelte, etc., is preferred.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as Postgres, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Knowledge of software testing using Jest, etc., and other debugging techniques.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of: Git and Git Workflow, Containerization (preferably Docker), CI/CD, Cloud provider (preferably AWS), Agile software development methodologies
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other engineers.
- Robust motivation to continuously learn and expand programming skills, including an eagerness to learn new programming languages and frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing - in English.
- Previous internship experience in early-stage startups is a plus.
