We’re Hiring: Software Development Engineer (SDE) | ETPL

ETPL is looking for a driven and technically sharp Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our engineering team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building scalable backend systems, optimizing databases, developing dashboards, and working across the full stack.

You’ll be working on production systems supporting core enterprise modules such as Inventory, Attendance, Vendor Orders, BOQs, dashboards, and reporting.

What you will work on

Backend Development

- Build and maintain modular applications using TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js.
- Work with controllers, services, guards, interceptors, and authentication systems.
- Develop scalable and maintainable backend services.

Database & Performance

- Design, debug, and optimize complex MongoDB aggregation pipelines.
- Work extensively with $group, $lookup, $unwind, indexing, and Mongoose.
- Optimize database queries for dashboards and reports.

Real-Time & Background Processing

- Implement real-time functionality using Socket.IO.
- Configure background jobs and scheduling using Agenda and NestJS Cron.

Third-Party Integrations

- Integrate AWS S3 / Google Cloud Storage for file management.
- Work with SendGrid for transactional emails.
- Implement push notifications using Firebase Admin.

Frontend & Dashboards

- Maintain Server-Side Rendered (SSR) applications using Handlebars (HBS).
- Build interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Chart.js and Vanilla JavaScript.
- Work with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap / Tailwind CSS.

What We are Looking For

- Strong understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Mongoose, aggregation pipelines, and database optimization.
- Good understanding of backend architecture and REST APIs.
- Experience working with SSR dashboards and JavaScript-based data visualizations.
- Familiarity with AWS services, Git/GitLab, and production deployment workflows.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, and RBAC.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable production code.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of development tasks.
