Position - Sign Language Interpreter

Experience- 2-5 years

Location - Nariman Point

Education- Any Graduate (Prefer candidates having - Degree/Diploma in Sign Language Interpreter)

Roles and Responsibilities

- Facilitate effective communication (physical or video) between persons with hearing disabilities and hearing persons.
- Provide accurate, explicit and impartial interpretation during meetings, presentations and other official interactions.
- Ensure that the meaning, context and intent of communication are conveyed without addition, omission or personal interpretation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information and discussions accessed during the course of duty.
- Maintain neutrality, professionalism and respect towards all customers and stakeholders.
- Familiarize themselves with relevant documents, agenda and technical terminology, wherever required.




- Co-ordinate with concerned officials regarding interpretation requirements and scheduling.
- Support accessible and inclusive workplace practices for customers with hearing disabilities.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and not act as an advisor, decision-maker or representative of the person requiring interpretation.
- Keep themselves updated on ISL, interpretation practices, accessibility requirements and applicable guidelines.
- Comply with the Bank's policies, confidentiality requirements and applicable professional standards.
