Role: Senior ServiceNow Developer – ITOM & Event Management

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with 7+ years of experience having strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow ITOM and Event Management. The candidate should have proven experience in designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting ITOM solutions with a solid focus on Event Management, Monitoring, Alert Management, and CMDB integrations.

The role requires a highly hands-on developer who can independently work on complex ServiceNow development and implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions.
- Strong hands-on development experience in Event Management.
- Configure and manage Event Rules, Event Transformations, Alert Management, and Alert Correlation.
- Work with monitoring tools and integrate events into ServiceNow using REST/SOAP, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
- Develop and customize Event Management connectors and integrations.
- Configure CI identification, reconciliation, and event-to-CI mapping.
- Work closely with CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping teams to ensure accurate CI and service relationships.
- Develop Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer/Workflow, and REST integrations as required.
- Troubleshoot event ingestion, alert generation, CI identification, and correlation issues.
- Participate in technical design, development, testing, deployment,



and production support.
- Review existing ITOM implementations and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Mandatory Skills

- 7+ years of overall ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM.
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow Event Management.
- Good understanding of:
- Event Rules
- Event Management
- Alert Management
- Alert Correlation
- Event-to-CI mapping
- Monitoring integrations
- MID Server
- CMDB
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Strong ServiceNow scripting experience using JavaScript.
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and IntegrationHub.
- Ability to independently handle complex development and troubleshooting activities.
- Good understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and development best practices.

Preferred

- ServiceNow CSA certification.
- CIS-ITOM certification.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, SCOM, or similar tools.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise ITOM implementations.
- Experience in automation and orchestration within ServiceNow.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a solid hands-on Senior ServiceNow Developer, rather than a purely functional consultant or support profile. Candidates should be able to independently perform development, scripting, integrations, configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation activities across ITOM and Event Management.
