Senior Salesforce / ServiceMax Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce / ServiceMax Consultant with 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, ServiceMax implementation, solution design, and technical delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce, ServiceMax (SMAX), Apex, integrations, optimization, and field service management solutions, along with experience leading technical teams and engaging directly with clients.

The role involves understanding business requirements, designing scalable solutions, providing technical estimates, leading development activities, and managing end-to-end implementation and release processes across Salesforce and ServiceMax platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce and ServiceMax solutions.
- Design technical solutions and prepare effort estimations for complex business requirements.
- Develop, configure, customize, test, and deploy Salesforce and ServiceMax applications.
- Design and implement ServiceMax SFM Transactions, Wizards, Service Board, Dispatch Console, and Mobile solutions.
- Develop custom business logic using Apex, Triggers, Async Apex, SOQL, and SOSL.
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce/ServiceMax and external enterprise applications.
- Implement real-time and batch optimization models for work-order scheduling and field service operations.
- Develop solutions for Product and Material Management within the ServiceMax ecosystem.
- Configure Salesforce security and access controls, including Roles, Profiles, Sharing Rules, and Validation Rules.




- Configure and enhance field technician solutions using ServiceMax Go / Mobile Console.
- Participate in architecture discussions and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Lead and mentor Salesforce/ServiceMax developers and coordinate technical delivery activities.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce development standards and best practices.
- Manage deployment and release activities across Salesforce/ServiceMax environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, performance, and production issues.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical recommendations, and drive solution decisions.
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, deployment plans, and other project deliverables.
- Stay updated with Salesforce and ServiceMax platform capabilities, releases, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Salesforce development, consulting, implementation, or technical delivery.
- Solid hands-on experience with ServiceMax / Salesforce Field Service solutions.

- Experience working with distributed/global teams and international clients.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce standard objects such as Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Quotes, etc.
- Experience with Salesforce deployment and release management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience leading or mentoring Salesforce development teams.

- Salesforce certifications such as:

- Salesforce Platform Developer I

- Salesforce Platform Developer II

- Salesforce Administrator

- Salesforce App Builder

- Salesforce AI Associate
- ServiceMax certification such as ServiceMax Admin.
- Experience working with Git/GitLab and VS Code.
- Experience in enterprise Salesforce architecture and large-scale implementations.
- Prior onsite or client-facing experience is an advantage.
