We're looking for an SEO Team Lead who can take ownership of SEO strategy across multiple client accounts, lead a team, and stay ahead of where search is heading — from traditional SEO to AI Search, AEO, and GEO.

Role Overview

We're looking for an SEO Team Lead who can combine strong strategic thinking with hands-on advanced SEO execution — someone who can build the strategy, lead the team delivering it, and sit across the table from clients with full command of the account. This is not a purely technical role; it requires equal strength in leadership and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership (Top Priority)

- Own SEO strategy end-to-end for multiple client websites — from planning to execution to results
- Lead, manage, and mentor the SEO team; assign and review work across the team
- Train the team on advanced SEO techniques, AI tools, and the latest industry practices
- Take full accountability for measurable SEO outcomes: rankings, organic traffic, leads, conversions

Client Communication & Coordination

- Act as the primary SEO point of contact for client accounts
- Communicate strategy, progress, and results clearly to clients — including non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate with clients on requirements, priorities, and approvals
- Coordinate internally with content and development teams for SEO implementation

Advanced SEO Execution

- Technical SEO — site audits, crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data/schema
- On-page SEO — content optimization, internal linking, metadata, keyword mapping
- Off-page SEO — link building, digital PR, authority building, and community-driven visibility (including platforms like Reddit and other forums that increasingly influence AI Search results)




- Local SEO — Google Business Profile optimization, citations, local ranking factors
- Content SEO — keyword research, content gap analysis, content strategy aligned with search intent
- Competitor, keyword, technical, and SERP analysis

AI Search & Emerging SEO

- Stay updated on Google algorithm updates and evolving search behavior
- Apply knowledge of AI Search, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
- Use AI tools and automation for SEO research, content optimization, analysis, and execution
- Bring in new AI-powered SEO tools and workflows as the landscape evolves

Tools

- Expert-level use of SEMrush and/or Ahrefs
- Screaming Frog for technical audits
- Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for performance monitoring and reporting
- Comfortable adopting and evaluating new SEO/AI tools as needed

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on SEO experience with a proven track record of ranking, traffic, and conversion improvements
- Strong, advanced-level knowledge of technical, on-page, off-page, local, and content SEO
- Expert-level understanding of SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GSC, and GA4
- Practical, working knowledge of AI-powered SEO tools and automation
- Solid understanding of AI Search, AEO, and GEO concepts
- Robust leadership skills — able to guide, train, and manage an SEO team
- Excellent client communication skills — able to explain strategy and results to clients confidently
- Strong analytical mindset with a results-first approach
- Agency experience or experience managing multiple client accounts is a solid advantage

What We're Looking For Someone who can Lead → Strategize → Communicate → Execute → Analyze → Train — and take full ownership of SEO performance across our client portfolio.
