Business Title Senior Trader Pulses Global Job Title Trader Global Function Commercial Global Department Trading Organizational Level 8+ Country/Region Mumbai / Asia Role Purpose Statement To develop and execute profitable commodity trading strategies by leveraging market intelligence, managing commercial relationships, optimizing supply chains, and mitigating trading risks while ensuring compliance with company policies and market regulations Main Accountabilities Robust understanding of agri-commodity markets and Pulses Trading. Execute trading of Pulses in domestic and international markets.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, forecasts, and trends. Conduct market surveys, in-depth market analysis, supply-demand assessment, and mark-to-market valuation of commodities.

Continuously monitor market trends and factors affecting supply and prices, including weather conditions, government policies, global events, and foreign exchange rates.

Manage liquidation of imported stocks in a timely and profitable manner.

Develop and implement strategies for procurement, disbursement, and export sales of domestic stocks.

Liaise with brokers, commission agents, processors and market intermediaries for effective buying and selling operations.

Coordinate with CHAs (Custom House Agents) and Surveyors for smooth clearance of imported stocks. Knowledge of import-export procedures, customs clearance, and logistics

Perform costing of commodities for domestic sales and ensure competitive pricing. Knowledge and Skills Behavior Make decisions aligned to Bunge’s global strategy, business needs and financial goals and explore new perspectives by driving innovation.

Cultivate strong relationships and networks, effectively influence others, and develop talent to excel in their current and future roles.





Develop data driven strategies aligned with Bunge’s priorities, energize others to action through clear and compelling communication. Technical Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and commodity trading platforms Education & Experience Master degree in Agriculture, foreign trade, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in agri-commodity trading preferably Pulses Trading.
