The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, automating, and executing test scenarios for migration of APIs, Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Messaging integrations from existing webMethods platforms to AWS-native services. The target modernization landscape includes approximately 1,000+ active integrations comprising MFT flows, messaging patterns, pub-sub integrations, APIs, and batch workloads etc.

The candidate will work closely with Architects, Developers, Product Owners, Business SMEs, and Quality Engineering teams to validate migrated integrations through automated testing, payload reconciliation, message validation, parallel-run testing, and end-to-end business process verification. The role requires strong expertise in enterprise integration testing, middleware validation, file transfer testing, event-driven systems, messaging architectures, and automation frameworks

Responsibilities

Test Execution

- Execute testing for SAG webMethods migration to AWS Cloud-Native architecture.
- Support quality engineering practices across migration waves.
- Execute migration validation activities covering:
- Functional equivalence testing
- Integration testing
- Data validation
- API contract validation
- Business process validation
- End-to-End testing

- Execute risk-based testing for critical business services.

Migration Testing

- Execute testing activities for:
- MFT migration
- Messaging migration
- API migration
- Event-driven integrations

- Perform validation between legacy and target platforms.
- Execute parallel run and production cutover testing.
- Support rollback validation activities.

MFT & Messaging Testing





- Execute testing for MFT integrations involving AWS Transfer Family and Amazon S3.
- Validate file transfers, routing, transformations, and downstream processing.
- Perform testing of Messaging integrations involving EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and JMS-based services.
- Validate event publishing, subscriptions, queue processing, DLQ handling, and message replay scenarios.
- Execute end-to-end testing for file-based, event-driven, and batch integration workflows.

API & Integration Testing

- Execute API testing for REST, SOAP, and Event APIs.
- Perform API contract validation and schema verification.
- Support service virtualization and dependency simulation activities.
- Execute testing covering:
- Component testing
- Integration testing
- Contract testing
- End-to-End testing

Automation & DevOps

- Develop and maintain automated test suites using:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- REST Assured
- Karate
- Cypress
- JMeter/Gatling

- Support integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute automated regression and integration test suites.
- Support shift-left testing practices.
- Contribute to continuous testing initiatives within DevOps workflows.

Non-Functional , Performance , Security Testing, Reliability Testing

Qualifications

- 6+ years in Software Testing and Quality Engineering.




- Experience in enterprise integration, API, MFT, and messaging testing.
- Experience working on digital transformation or modernization programs.
- Hands-on experience in API and middleware testing.
