n₹5,00,000 - ₹20,00,000 a year Senior Technical Lead – Product Releases & Engineering

Role Purpose

We are looking for a mature, hands-on Senior Technical Lead who can bring structure, predictability and ownership to the engineering and release process for Stratpilot. The role sits between the Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Technical Architect and engineering team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that multiple developers, features and code changes come together into stable, well-coordinated product releases.

This is not simply a senior developer role and it is not a purely managerial position. You must remain technically hands-on while taking ownership of release coordination, engineering discipline and day-to-day technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Release Management

You will coordinate releases across Development → Test / QA → UAT → Production → Monitoring.

- Coordinate release scope with the Product Owner and Delivery Manager, maintaining visibility of features, fixes and dependencies.
- Ensure development, code reviews, integration and testing are completed before release and conduct technical release-readiness checks.
- Coordinate application, API, database and configuration changes; manage release branches, versioning, hotfixes and production fixes.
- Coordinate deployments across Dev, Test, UAT and Production, support UAT issue resolution and provide technical Go / No-Go recommendations.
- Ensure rollback or recovery procedures are understood, validate Production releases and coordinate post-release issue resolution.

The objective is to create a repeatable, controlled and increasingly automated release process rather than relying on individual developers or last-minute effort.

Engineering Team Coordination

• Maintain visibility of development progress and identify dependencies across frontend, backend, database and integrations.
- Ensure developers understand requirements and technical expectations; identify blockers and risks early.
- Coordinate work where features cross multiple components, help resolve difficult technical issues and review progress against sprint and release commitments.
- Escalate architectural concerns to the Technical Architect, delivery risks to the Delivery Manager, and work with the Product Owner where requirements need clarification.

The successful candidate should bring structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.





Engineering Maturity & Quality

You will help strengthen:
- Pull-request and code-review discipline; Git branching, merge management, release branching and versioning.
- Definition of Done, release-readiness criteria, automated build/test/deployment, code coverage and automated testing.
- Environment management, logging and monitoring, technical documentation, incident management and root-cause analysis.
- Technical-debt management and secure development practices.

You will ensure code produced by different developers is properly reviewed, consolidated and integrated before entering shared environments.

Hands-On Technical Capability

Although release and team coordination are the main focus, this remains a hands-on technical leadership role. You should be comfortable working across React / React.js, Python, REST APIs and backend services, MySQL or similar relational databases, Git and GitHub, GitHub Actions / CI/CD, Google Cloud Platform, authentication and authorisation, SaaS integrations, logging, monitoring and production troubleshooting. Strong, practical experience with Google Cloud Platform and GitHub is vital for this role. You should have hands-on experience using Google Cloud services to deploy, operate, monitor and troubleshoot production SaaS applications, and be confident managing GitHub repositories, pull requests, branching strategies, code reviews, permissions and GitHub Actions-based CI/CD workflows.

You should be capable of reviewing code, challenging implementation decisions and stepping into complex technical or production issues when necessary.

Experience with AI applications, LLMs, agents, RAG, MCP, LangGraph/LangChain, OpenAI, Claude or Gemini would be advantageous.

Production & Incident Management

• Assess incident severity and impact, coordinate developers during investigation and identify root causes.

- Manage hotfixes and emergency releases, communicate technical status clearly and validate systems following fixes.
- Conduct root-cause reviews and ensure preventative actions are completed.

We are looking for someone who remains calm, methodical and accountable under pressure.

Experience We Are Looking For

Ideally,



you will have 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful technical leadership responsibility in a production SaaS environment, including:
- Coordinating development teams and managing SaaS releases into Production across Dev, Test, UAT and Production environments.
- Google Cloud deployment, operations, monitoring and troubleshooting.
- GitHub repository, branch, pull-request and permissions management, including GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
- Release-readiness, deployment processes, code consolidation and strong code-review practices.
- Production incident resolution, cross-functional working with Product Owners, architects and delivery managers, and continuous engineering process improvement.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have personally owned these responsibilities, rather than simply participated within a team where others managed releases and coordination.
