J ob Description:

W e are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of software development experience, strong expertise in POS and payment systems, and hands-on experience developing secure, reliable, and scalable payment applications.

T he ideal candidate will have a strong combination of C/C++ payment/POS development and Java/Kotlin-based Android application development, with a solid understanding of ISO 8583, Terminal Management Systems (TMS), payment transaction processing, the Android SDK, and up-to-date Android architecture.

T he candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, debugging, and maintaining POS/payment solutions while collaborating closely with product, QA, hardware, and backend teams.

What We Are Looking For

W e are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer who can work across the complete POS software stack — from payment transaction processing and ISO 8583 messaging to Android applications, APIs, device integration, and debugging.

T he successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of complex technical problems, driving solutions independently, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance POS payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

D e- sign, develop, and maintain POS and payment applications for Android-based payment terminals. D e- velop and maintain payment-related components using Android, C, and C++.I m- plement and integrate ISO 8583 message formats and transaction flows. W o- rk with Terminal Management Systems (TMS) for terminal configuration, application deployment, updates, and management.





D e- velop Android applications using Java and Kotlin.D e- sign robust and maintainable Android applications using MVVM and Repository architecture.I m- plement asynchronous operations using Kotlin Coroutines and WorkManager.D e- velop local data persistence using SQLite.I n- tegrate backend services using Retrofit, Volley, and JSON.W o- rk with Android components including ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation Component, and Jetpack Compose.I n- tegrate and maintain third-party libraries and SDKs such as Firebase, Glide, and Picasso.D e- velop responsive and user-friendly POS interfaces following Material Design and UI/UX best practices.I n- tegrate payment SDKs, device SDKs, and hardware-related APIs as required.

A n- alyse and resolve complex application, transaction, integration, and device-level issues. P e- rform debugging and root-cause analysis across application, middleware, and POS/device layers. C o- llaborate with backend teams on API design and payment transaction integration.

P a- rticipate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. W r- ite unit/integration tests and support QA teams in troubleshooting and defect resolution. U s- e Git for source-code management and version control.

U s- e Postman for API testing, validation, and troubleshooting. W o- rk with Android Studio and Visual Studio for development and debugging. C o- ntribute to technical design, architecture decisions, documentation, and development estimates.

M e- ntor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance to the development team.

P referred Qualifications

B a- chelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.7 +- years of professional software development experience. P r- evious experience in payment, banking, fintech, retail, POS, acquiring, or transaction-processing systems is highly desirable. E x- perience working with Android-based POS/payment terminals will be an advantage. E x- perience integrating payment, hardware, or device-specific SDKs is preferred.
