Role Purpose The PowerBuilder Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and delivering solutions within Bunge's GrainSuite ERP ecosystem. GrainSuite consists of multiple integrated PowerBuilder and .NET applications that support critical business processes across the enterprise.

This role works closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, SAP functional teams, QA engineers, architects, and fellow developers to deliver recent capabilities, integrations, and process improvements. The developer participates throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements elaboration, solution design, development, testing, code review, deployment, and modernization initiatives.

The role contributes to Bunge's technology modernization efforts through Azure DevOps, AI-assisted development practices, Visual Expert analysis, automated testing, and modern source control strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

ERP Application Development

· Design, develop, and enhance solutions within the GrainSuite ERP ecosystem.

· Develop and maintain Citrix-hosted enterprise applications using PowerBuilder.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

· Deliver enhancements, new functionality, process automation, and system integrations.

· Participate in technical design reviews and solution architecture discussions.

Integration Development

· Develop and maintain integrations between PowerBuilder applications, .NET services, SAP, and external systems.

· Consume and integrate REST APIs and services developed on the .NET platform.

· Partner with .NET developers, integration teams, and architects to define interface contracts, data mappings, error handling, and maintainable integration patterns.

· Contribute to the continued separation of business capabilities into reusable services where appropriate.

Database Development

· Design, develop,



and optimize PBSQL stored procedures and supporting database objects used by GrainSuite applications.

· Create and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, views, and queries.

· Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

· Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to enterprise database standards.

Agile Delivery

· Work within Agile teams using Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, development tracking, and reporting.

· Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

· Provide development estimates and communicate delivery risks, assumptions, and dependencies.

· Collaborate closely with QA resources to deliver testable, high-quality solutions.

Engineering Excellence and Modernization

· Follow enterprise development standards, Git branching strategies, pull request workflows, and code review practices.

· Use Visual Expert and other analysis tools to improve application quality, documentation, maintainability, and developer onboarding.

· Use enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools and accelerators to improve productivity and software quality.

· Participate in modernization initiatives that improve maintainability, scalability, integration, and developer productivity.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

· 3+ years of software development experience.

· 2+ years of PowerBuilder development experience.





· Strong experience developing and optimizing PBSQL stored procedures and related database objects.

· Experience developing enterprise business applications in a Citrix-hosted environment.

· Experience consuming and integrating .NET APIs, REST services, or web services.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience working within Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working within ERP ecosystems containing multiple integrated applications.

· Experience with SAP-integrated business processes.

· Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, work management, CI/CD, and reporting.

· Experience with Git-based source control and pull request workflows.

· Experience using Visual Expert for application analysis and documentation.

· Experience with automated testing and quality engineering practices.

· Exposure to GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted software development tools.

· Experience participating in application modernization or migration initiatives.
